# How to sign up on Bybit

Open Bybit, tap Sign Up, choose your real country of residence, enter your email and the referral code 53152, confirm the code Bybit sends you and set a password. Then turn on Google Authenticator and complete identity verification: most features stay locked without it.

## What you need

- An email address you will keep. Bybit suggests Gmail, iCloud or ProtonMail.
- A phone with Google Authenticator or a similar app.
- An ID document for verification.
- Referral code **53152**.

## Step by step

1. **Open the sign-up page.** Use the button on this page or tap Sign Up at the top right of Bybit's site.
2. **Choose your country of residence.** Bybit may send you to a regional site or show a notice if your country is restricted.
3. **Enter your email or phone number.** For a phone number, type it after the country code without the leading zero. Google and Apple sign-in also work.
4. **Enter referral code 53152.** The field sits below the form.
5. **Pass the check.** Solve the captcha and type the code from the email or SMS. No email? Look in spam.
6. **Set a password.** Do not reuse your email password.

## Right after sign-up

**Turn on Google Authenticator** in Account & Security. You need it to withdraw.

## Common mistakes

- An empty referral code field. Check it before you tap the button.
- An email you might lose access to. Recovery takes time.
- A country that is not yours. That breaks Bybit's terms.


## FAQ

**Can I sign up on Bybit from any country?**
No. Bybit does not serve users in excluded jurisdictions such as the United States, Canada, mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Uzbekistan, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Sudan and Syria, plus some regions. Check the list before you register.

**Email or phone number?**
Bybit recommends email, because withdrawals need both email and Google Authenticator. Use an address you will still have access to in a few years.

**Do I need to verify my identity right away?**
You can create the account without it, but Bybit requires at least Standard KYC for its products. Without KYC, withdrawals are capped at 20,000 USDT a day.

**What happens if I pick a different country?**
Bybit's terms say false residence details can lead to the account being closed and open positions liquidated. Use your real country.
